In 1986, the founder of Realtree®, Bill Jordan, rented a booth at the Shooting,
Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show on credit. Bill spent the week of the show
selling his own camo pattern creation and hiding from SHOT Show officials after
purchasing the booth on credit. By the end of the show, Bill had enough buyers
invested in his garment prototypes that he was able to settle the bill for his booth.
